Mount Sunapee Resort, located in Newbury, NH — This family owned and operated business in the Lake Sunapee region, consistently ranked in Ski Magazine as the top 10 in the East for snow quality, grooming, family programs, and guest service, is looking for a dynamic individual to join our leadership team as the Director of Culinary Operations.
Mount Sunapee’s culinary goals are to provide the best culinary options for our guests with helpful and friendly service. The operations consist of a high-volume, four-outlet winter operation along with summer operations which also includes a strong, high-end catering business.
Responsibilities include planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall culinary operations including staff training, menu development, preparation of the annual budget, cost controls, and labor and revenue management.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 5 years leadership experience in culinary operations which includes developing and executing culinary strategy, leading by example, complying with NH food safety, health and liquor regulations, and a valid driver’s license. This is a fast-paced position in a resort environment. Strong communication skills, ChefTec and Microsoft Office experience, and the ability to train and manage staff is required. This position requires working a flexible schedule based on culinary operations which includes weekends, holidays, and day and evening shifts.
