This is a collection of impressions written by various people involved in NSAA's development of its environmental charter, bringing together ski-industry people, the government and environmental groups, to hammer out voluntary principles that will be signed by North American resorts. We asked these people to comment on the process and speculate as to its effectiveness. The writers are: Rob Megnin of Ski Areas New York, Brian Fairbank of Jiminy Peak, Mass., Jock Glidden of the Utah chapter of the Sierra Club, Ted Beeler of Sno.engineering and Lisa Isaacs of Mammoth Mountain, Calif.
