SAM Magazine—Twin Bridges, Calif., Dec. 4, 2024—Dan Healy is returning to Sierra-at-Tahoe, this time as the resort’s vice president and general manager, effective early January 2025.Dan Healy Healy previously served as director of snowsports at Sierra for more than three years until 2021, when he moved to his current role as vice president, recreational services at Solitude in Utah. He succeeds longtime GM John Rice, who was recently appointed as president of Ski California.

Healy has worked in the ski industry for nearly 30 years, managing snowsports programs at Beaver Creek and Crested Butte, Colo., and Sugar Bowl, Calif. In his new role, Healy will oversee all resort operations. He will also be the primary resort liaison in the South Lake Tahoe community and with government agencies, legislators, and industry partners.

“Returning to Sierra-at-Tahoe as its next general manager is truly the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Healy. “I’m honored to lead the team as we continue to drive the business forward and deliver experiences that lend themselves to Sierra’s distinct culture and vibe. This is already a phenomenal resort, and I look forward to working with the team to ensure it continues to grow and thrive while remaining true to our mission and values.”
