“Mike’s appointment as the new GM of Stowe Mountain Resort is a testament to his exceptional leadership,” said Tim Baker, senior vice president and COO of the Eastern Region Mountain Division. “His decades-long hospitality experience and recent role overseeing six of our Midwest resorts demonstrates his vision and capability to lead the Stowe team and make a positive impact on our guests and the community.”

Giorgio began his career in the industry in 2011 as the executive chef of Mount Snow, Vt., where he ran food and beverage operations for more than 10 years. He was the director of food and beverage at the time Vail Resorts purchased Mount Snow as part of its 2019 acquisition of Peak Resorts. In 2021, he was appointed as general manager at Vail Resorts’ Mt. Brighton, and earlier this year was promoted to regional general manager, overseeing Mt. Brighton, Paoli Peaks, Ind., and Mad River Mountain and Boston Mills/Brandywine/Alpine Valley, Ohio.

“Stowe Mountain Resort has an incredible history, and it’s truly an honor to contribute to that legacy going forward alongside such a talented team,” Giorgio said. “Returning to Vermont, where my journey in the ski industry began, feels like coming full circle. I’m eager to build on Stowe’s reputation as the premier Northeast destination, while respecting and celebrating everything that makes Vermont’s highest peak so special.”
