Mt. Rose to Pay $11 Minimum Wage

  • Push to The Latest: No

The pay increase sets the starting wage at Mt. Rose $2.75 above Nevada’s $8.25 per hour minimum wage, and $2 more than California’s $9 minimum wage. Company officials said the increase will impact employees in nearly all departments, including base operations, ski school, food and beverage, terrain parks, lift operations, rental and retail operations, ski patrol, and tickets.

The news comes two weeks after Vail Resorts, owners of California’s Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Northstar, raised its nearly company-wide minimum wage to $10 an hour.

The minimum wage at Mt. Rose goes into effect Sept. 1, 2015.
