Mountain High Rolls Out Winter Guarantee

  • Push to The Latest: No

“We understand the past few seasons have been tough and visitors are apprehensive about purchasing a season pass, we want to give them the confidence they need to make that purchase and know they got a good value no matter what the weather does,” said John McColly, chief marketing officer of Mountain High and sister resort Stevens Pass, Wash.

McColly said that by basing the credits on pass usage instead of snowfall, the program “gives the control to the skier.” Skiers and riders will get a 50 percent credit if they use this year’s pass less than three days. Passes used less than five times are credited 25 percent.

The Powder Alliance includes 12 U.S. resorts and two Canadian areas, including Silver Star and newly added Whitewater, B.C. Mountain High’s Alliance passes are good for unrestricted access to Mountain High, plus three days of skiing at each location, with some restrictions on weekends and holidays. New this season, Powder Alliance passes purchased through Mountain High also include three days of free skiing at Brian Head, Utah. Pass holders can also cash in on other promotions, including monthly family discounts, and discounts on other activities including tubing, lessons, zip lines, restaurants, and retail stores.

Mountain High’s fall season pass sale begins Labor Day weekend. Prices start at $299 for adults (regularly $699) and $249 for young adults. Purchasers can upgrade their passes to a Powder Alliance Pass for an additional $49. Skiers and riders who purchase by Sept. 7 will receive more than $200 in additional incentives, such as a free buddy ticket and discounts at retail outlets.
