SAM Magazine--Boulder, Colo., Mar. 25, 2004--Perkins Miller has become vice president, managing director of Mountain Sports Media, a new position at the company and part of a restructuring effort aimed at developing the group's multi-media capabilities. Miller was most recently editor-in-chief of Skiing Magazine.

In his new role, Miller assumes responsibility for all Mountain Sports Media non-print assets, including Warren Miller Entertainment and Mountain Sports Interactive. He will continue in his recently announced role as head of business development as well.

As managing director he replaces Andy Bigford, formerly head of Warren Miller Entertainment, and Sarah Woodbury, formerly head of Mountain Sports Interactive. Both have left the company. At Skiing, Mark Peruzzi is acting editor-in-chief until a new EIC is named.

Miller joined Mountain Sports Media in 2002. Previously, he was director and general manager of Internet for The Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Games. He has also worked in product marketing and product development. \
