SAM Magazine-Vancouver, B.C., Oct. 19, 2005-Gary Raymond, the head of Intrawest Placemaking (read: real estate development) who has played a significant role in building Intrawest's resort villages, is resigning from the company later this year to pursue other business interests. Placemaking CFO Drew Stotesbury will serve as interim head of the division, reporting directly to Joe Houssian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Intrawest.

"Gary embodies what Intrawest is today and he represents one of the cornerstones on which this company has been built," said Houssian. "On behalf of all of us at Intrawest, I would like to wish Gary all the best in his future endeavors." \
