SAM Magazine—Chewelah, Wash., April 23, 2019—CMR Lands, LLC has acquired 49° North Mountain Resort from the Eminger family for an undisclosed price. The Emingers have owned and operated the northeast Washington resort since 1996. John Eminger will stay on as general manager. CMR Lands also owns Silver Mountain in Idaho. 49NTrailMapweb

During their 23 years of ownership, the Eminger family grew 49° North from 905 skiable acres to nearly 2,250 acres, adding new lifts and 35 new trails and glades in two basins. They also created a Nordic trail system with nine miles of trails.

“This transition in ownership will allow for continued improvements and growth, especially in skier experience on and off the snow,” said John Eminger. “We look to increase passholder benefits, remodel the lodge, add a new conveyor carpet to the beginner area, upgrade lifts and add new grooming equipment.”

A new discounted combo 49° North and Silver Mountain pass that will allow passholders to ski at either resort is debuting this week with an introductory price of $459 for adults and $329 for youth. It can be purchased at either mountain. “We think this will be a great product for our Spokane guests who can go an hour either direction for a great snow experience,” said Eminger.
