SAM Magazine-Vancouver, B.C., June 3, 2008-Intrawest's selection of Bill Jensen as CEO, announced last January, becomes effective today. In addition, the company has named Brian Collins president, with initial responsibility for the company's real estate operations.

Jensen brings to Intrawest 35 years of ski industry experience and a demonstrated track record of successfully growing mountain resort operations throughout North America. He most recently served as president of Vail Resorts' mountain division and COO of Vail Mountain. Prior to joining Vail, Jensen was president of Fibreboard Resort Group, where he oversaw the management of Northstar at Tahoe, Sierra at Tahoe, and Bear Mountain from 1991 to 1997.

Collins, in his new position, will report directly to Jensen and will initially be responsible for Intrawest's global real estate operations, which include Intrawest Placemaking (real estate planning and development) and Playground (real estate marketing and sales services). Collins will work directly with the COO at each of Intrawest's destination resorts to develop the resort's master plan. Over time it is expected that Collins' responsibilities will increase.

Collins has more than 24 years of experience as a developer of luxury condominiums and hotels and is a Certified Public Accountant. He was most recently principal and founder of Colgate Development LLC and, before that, principal and COO at Millennium Partners.

"Intrawest is a high growth, customer-focused organization with a dynamic culture, leading market share and tremendous momentum," said Wes Edens, CEO at Fortress Investment Group LLC. "We are delighted to have two world-class executives of the caliber of Bill Jensen and Brian Collins to lead the company into the future."

Jensen succeeds Alex Wasilov, a former director of the Intrawest board. As of June 30, Wasilov will once again serve as a member of the board of directors, where he will focus on long-term vision and strategy.
