SAM Magazine-Vancouver, B.C., Feb. 28, 2008-Intrawest has appointed Paul Jorgensen president and CEO at Mountain Creek in New Jersey. Jorgensen will be responsible for all aspects of Mountain Creek resort operations, including real estate development and sales, and will report directly to Alex Wasilov, CEO of Intrawest. In this move, Jorgensen replaces Sky Foulkes, who has managed both Mountain Creek and Stratton, and remains in charge of the latter. Jorgensen's appointment is effective as of Mar. 1.

Jorgensen began his career with Intrawest in 2005 as director of mergers and acquisitions and was promoted in 2007 to his most recent position as VP of mountain operations. In that role, he was responsible for leading the drive to optimize the winter operating models of Intrawest's destination resorts by identifying and implementing best-in-class operating strategies within the mountain operations, maintenance and ski and ride schools.

Prior to joining Intrawest, Jorgensen served as CFO at Boyne Resorts. Early in his career he was also an investment banker with Capital West Partners.
