SAM Magazine-Peru, Vt., May 2, 2008-John Cueman, president of Bromley Mountain, is assuming the position of vice president of real estate planning and ceding the president's post to Richard Wiseman, formerly GM of Camelback Ski Area, Pa. "Bromley's real estate potential is critical to Bromley's future," Cueman said.

Cueman started at Bromley in 1970 as an accounting supervisor and moved up the ranks to become vice president from 1975 through 1983. He became president in 1984. Cueman has always had a strong interest in community affairs, having served as a director and treasurer of the Manchester and the Mountains Regional Chamber of Commerce from 1984 to 2005.

Wiseman brings a wealth of operational experience to his new post. Camelback is both a sizeable Pennsylvania ski area and a significant player in the summer market, with its successful Camelbeach water and amusement park. For its part, Bromley also has a significant summer operation. "The similarities between Camelback and Bromley are striking," Cueman said. "I am delighted that Richard has accepted the position. He's a perfect fit, and I think he will do a great job for Bromley. He certainly has all the management experience required to meet the tasks at hand."

Wiseman began his career in the ski industry in the early '70s when he purchased Otis Ridge Ski Area in Massachusetts. He later worked at Stowe for three years, then became vice president of mountain operations at Mountain High, Calif. He returned East to Camelback where he has been GM since 1993. \
