  • Push to The Latest: No
SAM Magazine-Crested Butte, Colo., July 14, 2008-Crested Butte will have enhanced air service next season, with new direct flights from Salt Lake City, Chicago and Atlanta via Delta and American Airlines. In addition, American will continue to offer daily, non-stop flights from Dallas/Forth Worth, and United will offer three daily, non-stop flights from Denver. The increase in air service translates into 15 percent (6,000) more seats into the Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport.

To boost use of the new air service, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is offering one free airline ticket for every two purchased through its "Friends and Family Fly Free" promotion. The offer includes five nights lodging, four days of lift tickets, airfare and ground transportation beginning at $720 per person based on a family or group of four people.

In addition, the ski area is issuing $30 baggage credits, $15 each way, for the first bag checked by each traveler in and out of Gunnison/Crested Butte Regional Airport. This offer is available only in conjunction with accommodations purchased through Crested Butte Vacations, and a five night minimum stay is required. Accommodations must be reserved by Nov. 6, 2008. \
