Dady, Mueller Named to Echo Mountain Positions

SAM Magazine-Echo Mountain, Colo., Aug. 27, 2008-Cindy Dady, an industry veteran with over 18 years of experience in ski area operations and management, has been named general manager of Echo Mountain ski and snowboard area. The resort has also promoted Molly Mueller to marketing director. Mueller joined Echo Mountain in February 2008 and previously held the role of event marketing manager.

As general manager, Dady, 45, is one of only a few women to hold the highest-ranking position at any Colorado ski resort, representing a growing trend of women serving in high-level posts within the state's ski and snowboard industry.

In her new role, Dady will develop and manage strategic plans for long-term growth, sustainability and overall profitability and will oversee all aspects of the business, including indoor/outdoor operations, finance, human resources, retail, sales and marketing. In addition, Dady will work closely with Echo Mountain owner and president Jerry Petitt in continuing to build Echo's reputation as Denver's closest, cheapest and freshest ski and snowboard area.

"I am thrilled to have Cindy leading Echo Mountain. She has a broad understanding of the industry, our unique brand and product offering and a lifelong passion for skiing," said Petitt. "Cindy has an extensive background and strong operational and management skills, which will allow her to have a significant and immediate impact as Echo Mountain continues to grow and expand."

Dady's career path includes eight years with Intrawest Corporation as the Ski and Ride School Operations Manager at Colorado's Winter Park Ski Resort and Vermont's Stratton Mountain Ski Resort. Prior to Intrawest, Dady spent nine years leading the youth ski and snowboard programs at Greek Peak Ski Resort, N.Y. She holds an MBA in Finance from Colorado Technical University and a BSE in Physical Education from State University of New York.

In a separate internal move, Molly Mueller was named marketing director. Her background includes more than 17 years in marketing, sales, brand development, advertising, public relations and major account management. She's held positions with Copper Mountain Resort and Kroenke Sports Enterprises, among others.
