SAM Magazine--Salt Lake City, Utah, June 3, 2009--Delta Airlines has announced that it is offering a non-stop flight from Salt Lake City to Tokyo. The maiden voyage of this service was made today, among much fanfare between the two destinations.

According to published reports, the Governor's Office of Economic Development estimates that the new direct service will have an economic impact of more than $90 million and create about 1,100 jobs. The non-stop international flight is the second for Delta in Salt Lake City, which also flies to Paris.
