SAM Magazine-Park City, Utah, June 18, 2009-Rossignol has named Tim Petrick vice president of global sales and marketing, effective July 1. Petrick will oversee the worldwide strategic direction of the Dynastar, Lange, Look and Rossignol ski and snowboard brands, working from Rossignol's global headquarters in France. Petrick had been vice president of global sales for K2 Sports.

The addition of Petrick "is an important step in the realignment of the Rossignol Group to become a stronger, more focused, more profitable winter-equipment company," said CEO Bruno Cercley. Petrick, he said, "brings incredible passion as well as proven sales, marketing and brand-management experience."

"Rossignol is arguably the greatest brand in the history of skiing," said Petrick. He called Dynastar, Lange and Look "true legacy brands" and termed them "critical components of our future success."

Petrick has been involved in the business of winter sports for more than 35 years. In addition to his position at K2, Petrick was a three-time member of the PSIA National Alpine Demo Team, associate publisher of Powder Magazine, GM of Olin Skis and executive VP of Booth Creek Ski Holdings.

The Rossignol Group was purchased in November by Cercley and the Chartreuse et Mont Blanc Company. The group announced a large reduction in its work force and model consolidation earlier this year.
