The resort's lifts and other infrastructure, managed by Nevados de Chillan, were not damaged by the quake, according to Alejandra Belart, international sales director for Termas de Chillan. The facilities managed by Termas de Chillan, including a five-star hotel, casino, and conference center, saw only a few broken windows and broken glasses in the restaurants. These facilities, she said, are all of recent construction and were designed to withstand the level of shaking that took place at the area.
