SAM Magazine—Twyford, UK, May 7, 2025—Accesso Technology Group has acquired the 1RISK suite of software solutions, including the company’s cloud-based online liability waiver and incident risk management data technology and related assets.

Founded in 2012, 1RISK developed technology to streamline the process of securing liability waivers for activities such as ticket and pass purchases, equipment rentals, and lessons. Its SaaS-based solutions have expanded to include risk management tools, such as incident reporting and dispatch operations tracking.

Accesso has long supported integration with 1Waiver, 1RISK’s liability waiver application, across its e-commerce and point-of-sale technologies. The 1RISK range of solutions will be made available exclusively to venues utilizing accesso products. Accesso marketing director Flannery Higgins said, “Our focus is on integrating the solutions into our broader technology ecosystem.”

In an email to clients, 1RISK founder and CEO Charles Mickley said, “After more than a decade of building 1RISK and serving valued partners like you, we have made the important decision to sell the intellectual property of 1RISK to accesso. … This decision comes after careful consideration of the best path forward to continue the success of the 1RISK products and services you have come to trust.”

Mickley added that all 1RISK staff members, including himself, will join the accesso team beginning June 1.
