Accesso Plans To Acquire The Experience Engine (TE2)

  • Push to The Latest: No

The combined capabilities of the two companies will open some interesting opportunities for how mountain resorts market and communicate with guests. Following the acquisition announcement, a spokeswoman for Accesso told SAM, “With its planned acquisition of The Experience Engine (TE2), Accesso will provide even more ways for resorts to connect with, understand and engage guests, while driving incremental per cap spend.

“TE2’s platform-as-a-service (PaaS) technology solutions translate into actionable marketing insights, in real-time. With the integration of this technology into Accesso’s current solutions [namely Siriusware point of sale software and Passport ticketing software], ski resorts will have options to target and engage guests via connected devices, based on factors such as location, time, context, day, past behavior, and demographics.

“By mapping the guest journey in such a way, [resorts can] create a more personalized experience for skiers, as well as more revenue opportunities. Accesso will be able to provide a higher level of insight, so resorts can more directly target guests with marketing opportunities, as well as procure key takeaways that can improve guest experience and grow loyalty.”

Regarding the acquisition of TE2, Accesso CEO Steve Brown said, “Our customers will have options to connect with their guests in new and exciting ways—from ticketing to food and beverage, retail, queuing, and more.”

Scott Sahadi, TE2 CEO, added, “Joining the Accesso team is perfect fit for TE2. ...We now look forward to working as part of the Accesso team and continuing our efforts to improve the guest experience and drive revenue results through the use of integrated technology and insights.”

TE2’s existing clients include Merlin Entertainments, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Carnival Corporation, and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. Accesso provides solutions to companies such as Six Flags Entertainment, Cedar Fair Entertainment, Merlin Entertainments, International Speedway Corporation, Palace Entertainment, Compagnie des Alpes, and Herschend Family Entertainment.
