  • Push to The Latest: No

SAM Magazine—Portland, Ore., May 20, 2020—The Indy Pass has implemented a pass assurance program, lowered prices, and added new resorts in an effort to “get America skiing” post COVID-19.Indy Pass 2020

After a successful inaugural season, Indy Pass added another seven independent resorts to its roster: China Peak, Calif., Crystal Mountain, Mich., Granite Peak, Wis., Lutsen Mountains, Minn., Sasquatch Mountain, B.C., Tamarack, Idaho, and, pending final contract approval by the state, Cannon Mountain, N.H. Indy Pass now includes access to 52 independent ski areas in North America.

"We are excited to join the Indy Pass coalition and help promote the joy of skiing and riding at independent resorts,” said Charles Skinner, co-owner of Lutsen Mountains and owner of Granite Peak. “The pass has really been embraced by skiers who want a less-crowded alpine experience and we look forward to sharing our mountains with them."

To reassure buyers amidst the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, Indy Pass has launched its "Get America Skiing Promise." The promise provides a credit toward the purchase of a 2021-22 Indy Pass for buyers that use their 2020-21 pass less than four days: zero days, 80 percent credit; one day, 60 percent; two days, 40 percent; and three days, 20 percent.

Passes will be available for purchase Sept. 1, with payment plans available. The basic pass will start at $199 and offer passholders two free days at each of Indy Pass’s 52 participating resorts, with blackout dates at some resorts (to be finalized in August).

Indy Pass is also launching several new pass products, aimed at core participants and kids. The Indy + Pass will be on sale for $299 and have zero blackout dates. Current season passholders at any Indy Pass partner resort will be able to purchase an Indy Pass for just $129. And the kids pass, for ages 12 and under, will start at $99, enabling a family of four to cover a season's worth of lift tickets for just $596.
