Letter From the Publisher

  • Push to The Latest: No

Looking for some perspective on a burning issue in your department or resort? Over the past 56 years, SAM Magazine has gathered a wealth of knowledge from industry experts, leaders, and the community at large. We are now able to share that knowledge with all of you through the launch of the brand-new SAM Digital Archives.

It’s all part of our newly redesigned website, which makes it easier than ever to find headline news, classifieds, event news, PodSAM, the ownership timeline, in-depth articles, and so much more.

The archives cover a lot of ground. A few examples:
employee housing (“Gimme Shelter,” March 2017)
the hidden risks with kids during summer (“Summer Ops & Tots,” January 2015)
on-the-job safety (“Keeping It Safe,” July, 2010)
F&B trends (“Dish It Out,” May 2007)

We encourage you to check out the archives and see what you can discover there. Access is free to all during our initial introductory period, and will remain free to SAM subscribers beyond that point.

Access Is Easy
To get started, visit our new website and head to “Magazine Archives,” where you can search by keyword and browse back issues by year or cover art. When you find an article of interest, you will be asked to register for an account. Registering allows you to search the full breadth of our SAM archives. If you’re not a SAM subscriber, you will have full access for a limited time. If you are a current SAM subscriber, full access is included with your subscription.

Articles from 2005 and earlier are not available online, but subscribers can receive PDFs of these older articles via email. Don’t have a SAM subscription? We are offering a special 50% off rate to celebrate the launch of the SAM Archives. Contact sarah@saminfo.com for information.

Thank you for reading SAM and supporting what we do—and thank you for joining us as we start a new chapter.
