SAM Magazine—Durango, Colo., March 23, 2022—Mountain Capital Partners (MCP) has rolled out its 2022-23 Power Pass lineup, which provides access to MCP’s Spider Mountain bike park in Texas and its seven Southwest ski areas: Purgatory and Hesperus, Colo., Arizona Snowbowl, Ariz., Brian Head and Nordic Valley, Utah, and Pajarito and Sipapu, N.M.MCP 440x340 Prices for the top two tiers of the pass remain flat from 2021-22, but MCP has replaced its Power Pass Local with the new, less-restricted Power Pass Core.  

The Power Pass, with unlimited access to all eight properties, is $699 for adults ages 37-64.

The Power Pass Select, with unlimited access at six ski areas and 12 restricted days at Purgatory and Snowbowl, is $599 for adults ages 37-64.

The Power Pass Core, which replaces the Power Pass Local, is $299 for adults ages 37-64. It offers four restricted days at Purgatory, Snowbowl, Brian Head, and Spider Mountain, holiday-restricted access at Nordic Valley, and unlimited access at Pajarito, Sipapu, and Hesperus.

New this year, the entire Power Pass suite now offers incrementally lower price points across five age brackets: Adult (37-64), Young Adult (30-36), Young Adult (25-29), Young Adult (19-24), and Youth (13-18). 

MCP has also expanded the benefits for 2022-23 included in its free Power Kids pass, which debuted last year. With the Power Kids pass, children 12 and under will get free, unrestricted access to all MCP mountains in winter and now also have unlimited mountain bike uplifts at the company’s four bike parks: Purgatory, Brian Head, Pajarito, and Spider.

Bike benefits have also been expanded for Power Pass and Power Pass Select holders this cycle. Those who purchase by May 20, 2022, will add three days of summer 2022 uplifts at Purgatory, Brian Head, Pajarito, and unlimited access at Spider Mountain through April 30, 2023.
