Mid-Season Ticket Promos Abound

  • Push to The Latest: No

With natural snowfall in short supply this winter, management at Mont Saint-Sauveur is taking a creative route to celebrate the arrival of a much-needed snowstorm. The resort is broadcasting the measurement online with a camera affixed to a snow stake, and the flakes are piling up. Guests and resort management alike are certainly rooting for a higher ticket rate. The final total and price will be posted on the resort’s social media channels.

In New Hampshire, with Leap Day only coming around once every four years, Waterville Valley is offering four different promos to entice visitors to come to the mountain on Feb. 29: 1) If anyone’s birthday falls on Feb. 29, they and a friend get to ski for free, 2) lift tickets are $29 for everyone else, 3) equipment rentals are $29, and 4) learn to ski and learn to snowboard packages are $39.

Shanty Creek, Mich. is the place to be on Leap Day if your name is Brad. On Feb. 29, those with this particular given name will get free lift tickets, free equipment rentals, and discounted room rates at the Schuss Mountain Resort Hotel.

In addition, all Brads will enjoy bathrooms specifically reserved for them and a special section at the resort’s restaurant. Awards will be given out to the Brad who travels the farthest and the Brad who comes to the resort accompanied by the greatest number of non-Brads.

Why Brad? According to Shanty Creek’s website, "The story behind this special day is complicated and shall remain cloaked in mystery."
