Rose Ski Tahoe has raised its minimum wage to $15 per hour for all positions that were previously below, and will provide a five percent cost-of-living increase for year-round and full-time employees.MtRoseStaffVax The resort will also require employees to be vaccinated for Covid-19 ahead of the start of its 2021-22 winter season.  

“Our intention is to do everything we can to open and operate safely all season long, and that starts with requiring our employees to be vaccinated,” said Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing director Mike Pierce. “We are confident that the wage increase and cost of living adjustment that will also go into effect this season will help us to both remain competitive as an employer, and attract and retain top talent across a variety of positions.”

Mt. Rose’s wage increase will affect employees in nearly all departments at the resort, including base operations, ski school, food and beverage, terrain parks, lift operations, rental and retail operations, ski patrol, and tickets. Entry-level positions will now be paid well above the Nevada minimum wage of $9 per hour, and also above California’s $14 per hour minimum wage. 

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe team members also get a free season pass, free lessons and equipment rentals, and discounts on retail and food at the resort.
