July saw a 3.4 percent increase in occupancy compared to July 2013, and a nine percent increase in revenue, continuing the summer’s string of record months.
Participating destinations have already received or booked 90 percent of their total revenue for summer, with final August, September and October figures yet to come.
“The summer season at mountain destinations has definitely come into its own, as evidenced by the third consecutive summer of occupancy and revenue records in both the Far West and Rocky Mountain regions,” said Ralf Garrison, director of DestiMetrics.
DestiMetrics tracks resort performance in 19 Western mountain destinations in Colorado, Utah, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Wyoming. It compiles forward-looking reservation data on a monthly basis and aggregates and reports the results to subscribers at participating resorts.
