Towle Named GM at Mt. Ashland

  • Push to The Latest: No

In addition to his ski industry background, Towle has served on several non-profit boards and is current president of the Bethel, Maine, Chamber of Commerce. “It is exciting to have a new leader with a strong history of community involvement, as one of our goals as a regional ski area is to connect more closely with our local residents.” said Chris Cook, a Mt. Ashland Association board member and chairwoman of the community outreach committee.

Towle, along with his wife and eight year old son, will relocate to Ashland in early September.

“What initially attracted me to Mt. Ashland was the mountain itself. For a community ski area, it provides such a unique, big-mountain experience,” Towle said. “I am both honored and elated to bring my family to the Rogue Valley and become a part of the bright future of Mt. Ashland.”

Mt. Ashland opened in 1964, and has been owned by the non-profit Mt. Ashland Association since 1993.
