SAM Magazine—Arapahoe Basin, Colo., Oct. 28, 2015—Colorado’s Arapahoe Basin will open for the 2015-16 winter season Oct. 29, matching the plan of neighbor Loveland Ski Area.

“The recent cold weather and currently snowy conditions allow for a tremendous start to the season,” said Alan Henceroth, Arapahoe’s CEO. “Despite what will be a later-than-average opening, both natural snow and our snowmaking efforts have given us a great snow surface to start with. We cannot wait to have our guests back to enjoy the mountain.”

A-Basin’s rental shop will open at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Black Mountain Express lift at 9:00 a.m. Guests will able to ride the intermediate High Noon trail until 4:00 p.m.

Discounted lift tickets can be purchased in advance at arapahoebasin.com. Tickets purchased at the resort will be $76 for adults, $64 for youths (ages 15-18) and $36 for children (ages 6-14). Children age five and under ski for free all season long. Those lift ticket prices will remain in effect until Dec. 18.
