SAM Magazine - Wilmington, Mass., January 31, 2008 - Verizon customers won't be able to escape the boss quite as easily when they take advantage of mid-week powder days in Vermont. The company has announced that a $55 million investment into its Vermont network means that wireless service has been expanded into nearly 60 additional Vermont communities across 14 counties, including several of the state's ski resorts.

The recent addition of several cell sites brings new coverage to portions of Vermont's Burke Mountain, Jay Peak, Pico and Mount Snow ski resorts.

In addition, Verizon service has been augmented along Route 7 between Dorset and Pownal, a key route for skiers arriving from New York State, as well as along Interstate 91, an important skier's conduit, around the town of Brattleboro and from White River Junction to Windsor.

The company's 3G broadband data network has also been expanded to provide high-speed mobile Internet connectivity in the area surrounding Mount Snow.
