SAM Magazine-McCall, Idaho, Oct. 21, 2008-Brundage Mountain has upgraded the ski area's grooming fleet, adding new terrain parks and enhancing food and beverage operations for the 2008-09 season. Improvements include a new mid-mountain refuge, the Bear's Den, an eight-sided 1,300 square-foot log building with seating for approximately 88 people. The facility also has a 2,100 square foot wrap-around deck for outdoor dining.

Over the past three years, the resort has acquired two brand new Prinoth BR-350 groomers, and is now adding a Prinoth winch cat to the fleet. This groomer will help grooming crews reach steep slopes that were inaccessible in the past. Mountain operations staff also expects to utilize the BR-350 for pre-season grooming, which could result in an even earlier opening day.

The mountain is also investing in a pair of new terrain parks. A small-feature park will be designed specifically for children and entry-level park riders who want to ride freestyle terrain. More advanced riders get the new Rodeo park, which features medium-sized rails, jibs and jumps that offer a longer ride, more variety and a bigger challenge. \
