Whistler Blackcomb has been at the forefront of year-round recreation development, balancing business innovation with environmental sustainability. With a robust lineup of summer attractions—including the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Peak 2 Peak gondola, family-friendly activities, hiking and sightseeing, and a thriving events scene—the resort exemplifies how strategic investments and partnerships can extend a resort’s appeal beyond the winter months.

“We’re thrilled to host the 2025 SAM Summer Ops Camp at Whistler Blackcomb,” said resort COO Belinda Trembath. “As a true four-seasons destination resort, Whistler Blackcomb is the ideal setting to connect, share insights, and explore the future of summer operations at mountain resorts across North America. We look forward to welcoming industry leaders to experience our mountain playground and discuss innovative ways to showcase summer.”

The 2025 Summer Ops Camp will bring together experts in summer attractions, outdoor recreation, hospitality, and resort leadership to discuss best practices, emerging trends, and strategies for sustainable, profitable summer operations. Attendees will gain firsthand experience with Whistler’s bike park, aerial adventures, guided experiences, and guest service innovations, all while engaging in in-depth discussions on environmental stewardship and business growth.

The annual CWSAA Bike Park Forum will immediately follow Summer Ops Camp and provide additional specialized content on downhill mountain biking, trail development, and operational efficiencies, combining for a comprehensive educational experience for resort professionals looking to expand or enhance their summer offerings.

"Hosting the CWSAA Bike Park Forum alongside SAM's Summer Ops Camp will create a dynamic week filled with education, hands-on workshops, and on-hill training,” said CWSAA CEO Christopher Nicolson. “With Whistler as our backdrop—home to world-class downhill mountain biking—there’s no better place to learn, connect, and ride with your peers."
